The?purpose?of?this dissertation?is?to?see?how?the?discourse?between?the?mapuche?indigenous?and?the?Chilean
government?has?changed?throughout?the?years,?focusing?on?how?the?territory?discourse?has?changed?under
roughly?a?40?year?period.?As?under?Allendes?time?the?mapuche?had?different?rights?and?was?part?of?the?farmer
movement?and?under?Bachelets?time?they?are?labelled?as?terrorists?(thanks?to?Pinochet)?and?now?the?discourse?is
about?the?mapuches?territory?claims.?
