Book: Looking Out Looking In
Not all friendships are created equal. Gender can be a significant factor in dictating how we communicate with our friends. In Chapter 10, the text covers 3 types of friendships: (1) same-sex friendships, (2) cross-sex friendships, and (3) friends with benefits (FWB). When it comes to infatuation and attraction, do you think there is any value of talking about feelings of attraction (rather than ignoring or suppressing feelings) in cross-sex or same-sex friendships? In your opinion can platonic friendships be maintained when there is the potential for romance in a relationship? Provide your response to these questions. Be sure to reference an example to support your responses.
