Hello! This is an important history paper, I have some writer’s block at the moment.

The essay’s thesis is :
“The  historical events in which El Cid is suggested be a heroic mercenary soldier during the Iberian Reconquista Period was the controversial result of his triumph in liberating parts of Spain from the Almoravid dynasty, capturing of the Muslim caliphate of Valencia, and the ruling of his own kingdom.”

Please use this thesis as a starting point, I would like the essay to have an introduction and different subtopics. Kindly begin by speaking on the overall history of the Iberian Peninsula throughout the Reconquista period (5th-14th century) while defining the new terms that you state. This is an important summary of the overall historical events. After the historical background is presented, the essay begins to speak about Rodrigo Diaz de Vivar (also called El Cid) and his life and accomplishments. This other half of the essay (about Rodrigo Diaz de Vivar) should focus on his importance to Spain, and WHY he was regarded as a HERO at the time.
