Watch the video embedded below, focusing on the speaker’s use of informative strategies, presentation aids, and storytelling. Then answer the following questions.

Requirements
In your post, copy and paste the prompts below, then type in your answers.
Write in complete sentences, paying attention to answer length requirements.
Use visual organization (bullet points, white space, etc.) to make your answers easy to read and digest for your classmates and instructor.

INFORMATIVE STRATEGIES: Identify three different informative strategies used by Sengeh. Describe each of the three strategies and label them. Then in 3-5 sentences total, discuss whether or not you think each strategy was used effectively. Why or why not? (TIP: Chapter 14, pp. 275-279, of our textbook describes the following informative strategies: description, definition, explanation, demonstration, narration.)
INFORMATIVE STRATEGIES: What informative strategy could the speaker add to increase the effectiveness of his message? Name the strategy and briefly describe how you would implement it in at least 2-3 sentences.

STORIES/NARRATIVE: Identify one place where the speaker uses stories/narrative to support his speech. In 2-3 sentences total, discuss how do you think this use of a story/narrative enhances the impact of the speech? (Review Speech Craft pp. 125-126 for a discussion of how stories/narratives work.)

PRESENTATION AIDS: Describe two different types of presentation aids that the speaker used. (Be specific! Don’t just say a PowerPoint. What specific types of images did he use, for instance.) In 2-3 full sentences, discuss how do you think these presentation aids helped teach his audience about his project?

YOUR OWN SPEECH: Think about your own informative speech for SpCm 212. What is your topic? Then, in 3-5 full sentences, share what story you could tell to enhance the impact of your speech AND describe a presentation aid that you could use to support/illustrate this story.
After you post, you will be able to view your classmates’ posts. Take a few minutes to read their analysis!

The speaker, David Sengeh, grew up in Sierra Leone, where he was surrounded by loved ones missing limbs after the civil war that occurred there. In his TED Talk, Sengeh describes his project to develop functional and comfortable prosthetic limbs.
