Discussion Question Response8

Please respond to question 1 and 2. Please make sure you have a reference for each question.
There are many technological challenges that affect the management of people in an organization. As a human services leader, it is important to minimize most of these burdens in order to deliver reliable services. Addressing technological problems such as poor information management and data overload is key to effective staff performance (Cascio & Montealegre, 2016 p.349). An organisation with a large number of employees and stakeholders requires the application of effective managing software. An effective software contains components that integrate various operations through the automation of processes.  This can help in creating great partnerships among staff members and reduce the need for any additional assistance. Such software also provides technical assistance to an organisation which will help in transforming operations. At some point, the staff member might have problems navigating human service systems and this eventually affects operations (Finn, 2017 p.1). Therefore, selecting a software that guides both staff and stakeholders help human services comply with the organizations mission.
There are various tools that an organisation can use to increase the effectiveness of its operations. They include web-based management tools that can enable information sharing, as well as increasing collaboration among staff members and stakeholders (Cascio & Montealegre, 2016 p.350). Most of these tools contain websites that are easily accessible and can also be used in numerous operations such as making payments or registration. For small or medium organizations, there is Google analytics that is used for measuring staff and stakeholders loyalty and engagement. Additionally, using advanced technology will dramatically improve the operational efficiency of the staff and stakeholders while reducing costs and other hurdles, such as information security (Finn, 2017 p.1). Implementing a new automated system can also help to monitor organizational staff and stakeholders in real-time hence minimizing the amount of efforts in operational management. An organisation can benefit from implementing more advanced technological solutions such as automated tools which makes work easier and improve its operational outcomes.

Question 1.Anuz

As a human services leader, to address technological challenges is to evaluate or assess the problem.  You can start with having an information technology expert look into the IT you currently have and from there employees can bring up their concerns and acquire suggestions from them as to or how to improve their work without having any hurdle or delays.

Weidner (2016) stated that its easy for organizations to forget that technology is still just a tool meant to help you accomplish something else.  You can have the most state-of-the-art technology and if you do not have the right employee, it will not work and will not do the things you want and you expect.

The best tools to have to help an organization become more efficient are the employees.  Second is the technology that will assist employee to accomplish their task and goals for the organization.  Having an upgraded information technology for the organization takes planning.  Of course, this is passed the budget plan already, you will need to set aside training and educating employees to transition and get familiarized with the new technology.  VolunteerHub (2015) management solutions are supposed to make life easier, but 30 percent of survey respondents say they have challenges with both staff training and user-related issues.  Just like what mentioned, staff training is a challenge, it takes time for employees to learn and this is when hiring the right employees comes in and the role of Human Resources department.

Ross, Verclass, & Levine (2009), stated on chapter 11, the trends in technology are clear: we are moving away from custom applications, large enterprise solutions, and offline applications.  These are past technologies.  The future is small, standard, connected service-based applications.

Question 2. Paul
Nonprofits need superior leadership to compete in the private sector with success and long-term vision.  As a human service leader, communication and training my first priority.  Securing a user friendly dashboard to store and submit pertinent information for productivity will be an essential objective of strategic planning and organizational efficiency (Challenges, 2016).  Budget incentives strictly for technology combined with web page design specifically for donor contributions a critical solution for technological challenges.  The tools implemented for efficiency will be Adobe Spark for graphics and story lines with QuickBase Nonprofit Manager app for better delivery of service.  Maintenance of donor tracking systems and simplicity of donor link creates a greater engagement of faithful financial support (Ross & Verclass, 2009).  References:  Technological Challenges That Nonprofit Leaders Face (2016).  Retrieved from https://www.quickbase.com.  Levine A.
