You have to choose ONE question and answer all its sub questions.

Your answer has to be in essay style with

< An introduction: with a clear thesis statement/argument

< Body of paper: paragraphs substantiating your argument,

< Conclusion: summary of argument

Exams should be 5-7 pages in length (roughly around 1800 words but NOT more than 2500 words). This page/word count does not include the title page and full bibliography. Papers should be typed in 12-point Times New Roman font, double-spaced, with 1″ inch margins. All citations must be according to APA style. The exam should have a title page with: your name, student number, assignment title, professors name, course code, and submission date. Each page should be numbered.

Exams should reference posted lectures and other course materials (ie. lectures, films, documentaries and readings). A strong exam will include key concepts from one or multiple lectures. There is no limit to the resources you can use (from the course or outside sources academic and non-academic) as long as you reference these resources in the essay and at the end in your bibliography.

If you use the lectures, you should always reference the original author of the concept or idea.  If no other author is given in the posted lecture then you can reference (Allspach, date)

QUESTIONS:

Question: Outline two central contributions Marxist Criminology addresses in terms of capitalism/class and crime. In addition, define the concept of neo-liberalism and explain the significance of neo-liberalism in the production of poverty and the over policing of poverty related crimes and crimes associated with homelessness.

Question: Outline two central contributions Feminist Criminology addresses in terms of patriarchy/gender and crime (other than intersectionality). In addition, define the concept of intersectionality and analyse the Pamela George Case (murder, policing, court proceeding and punishment) as forms of racialized gender violence.
